It was released in 2011 to promote the release of The Little Drummer Boy and includes songs from said episode, as well as previous Christmas-themed VeggieTales episodes and albums, with appearances by Matthew West, Amy Grant, Wynonna, Steven Curtis Chapman, and Bebe & Cece Winans. It also features two new covers of Christmas songs sung by Junior Asparagus and Larry the Cucumber.
